Damn Yankees.

Yet another year of postseason humiliation... You would think that as damn much as Steinbrenner pays for the team, they would be unbeatable.

But no, my boys have yet again found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

That's why you're a Democrat.

I've had enough of A-Rod's choke!-gasp-chortle act. As one who began rooting for the Yankees in 19-ought-8, I think ol' George needs to forget these paper-stat cases and stock the lineup with the likes of Johnny Blanchard, Lou Piniella, and Bucky Dent — solid clutch-performing journeymen.

(Sigh!) I feel your plain, Free'.

Fox is saying that Pinella may be back--- As manager. Torre may be out after this.

Blue,
Bite me.

David,
Is there anything more inherently Democratic than backing guys that always find a way to lose? It almost explains why there are so many Democratic Red Sox fans.

Hey, lay off the Red Sox. They never hired Bob Shrum, okay?

Kibitzer? A Yankee fan? Quel Horreur!

Freedonian, I would like to say I feel for you, and mostly I do, but.....

YOU'VR ONLY GONE SIX YEARS WITHOUT A WORLD SERIES CHAMPION!

Ahem. on the other hand, bringing in Piniella means A-Rod stays, which will only piss Jeter off even further.

However, if you dump the 72-year-old Mike Mussina and the 81-year-old Randy Johnson and get some new blood on the pitching staff, you MIGHT have a chance in 2007.

Otherwise, watch out for the Blue Jays!

Quickly, sir! State your meaning clearly or name your second! I won't tell you when I became a Yankee fan. But it was back in a time when they were struggling and not expected to continue their onetime glory. YHet they did! Heroically. Someday I will show you a vintage photograph with me and (blush!) the Mick. Nay more! With ol' Case, as well! (Yes, I go back that far.)

"Ahem. on the other hand, bringing in Piniella means A-Rod stays, which will only piss Jeter off even further."

And piss me off as well. I'm tired of that clutchless choker.

Six years? A White Sox fan ribbing us over six years? It was 88 for you guys. 46 without a pennant. I'll certainly give you props for not being a fair weather fan, though.

I'm a Cubs fan in baseball and a 49ers fan in football, so far be it from me to make fun of any teams losing ways. I will say though that if George wants someone to lose with tons of money, Don Rumsfeld might be looking for a job soon.
